A CHALLANGE FOR THE NEW YEAR - GET INTO GOD'S WORD.

A FEW REASONS WHY IT IS IMPORTANT ARE GIVEN IN THE SCRIPTURES BELOW:

Amos 8:11(THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT REASON)Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:

Deuteronomy 12:28 (MAKES OUR LIFE RUN SUCCESSFULLY)Observe and hear all these words which I command thee, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee for ever, when thou doest that which is good and right in the sight of the LORD thy God.

Psalm 18:30 (IT IS OUR BUCKLER)As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.

Proverbs 30:5 (IT IS OUR SHIELD)Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

Isaiah 40:8 (IT IS ETERNAL TRUTH)The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

Jeremiah 15:16 (IT BRINGS US JOY IN OUR LIFE)Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.

Matthew 4:4 (WE ARE COMMANDED TO DO IT)But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Luke 11:28 (IT BRINGS US BLESSING)But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
