WHAT ABOUT JERUSALEM

WHAT ABOUT JERUSALEM

Jerusalem was originally called Jebus and was inhabited by the Jebusites before David conquered it."And David and all Israel went to Jerusalem, which is Jebus; where the Jebusites were, the inhabitants of the land." (1st Chronicles 11:4)

In the following scriptures we find that much is written in the book of Zechariah, Ezekiel and Isaiah pertaining to the city of Jerusalem. We discover information concerning now, in the future and in world to come. Although Jerusalem is to become a burdensome stone for the entire world, which it is, and all will be gathered against her, which they are, God declares that He will defend and strengthen her and will destroy all that come against her and will set her as His city in the world to come.

The entire chapter 16 of the book of Ezekiel describes the birth of Jerusalem and God's love for her and how he married her by putting his skirt over her. It continues on to describe how Jerusalem turned from God and he rejected her. Yet, in the end he reunites with Jerusalem again.

The Psalms inform us that they shall prosper that love Jerusalem. Micah as well as many other scriptures, which are not listed here, speak of a day when Jesus will rule from Jerusalem.

We read of Jesus’ love of Jerusalem by his passionate words spoken in the book of Luke
“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!” (Luke 13:34)

The final triumph of Jerusalem is the New Jerusalem described for us in the book of Revelation.

Scripture:
Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations, (Ezekiel 16:1-2)

Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD, and thou becamest mine. (Ezekiel 16:8)

But thou didst trust in thine own beauty, and playedst the harlot because of thy renown, and pouredst out thy fornications on every one that passed by; his it was.
(Ezekiel 16:15)

Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with thee in the days of thy youth, and I will establish unto thee an everlasting covenant. Then thou shalt remember thy ways, and be ashamed, when thou shalt receive thy sisters, thine elder and thy younger: and I will give them unto thee for daughters, but not by thy covenant. And I will establish my covenant with thee; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD: That thou mayest remember, and be confounded, and never open thy mouth any more because of thy shame, when I am pacified toward thee for all that thou hast done, saith the Lord GOD. (Ezekiel 16:60-63)

In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear thou not: and to Zion, Let not thine hands be slack. (Zephaniah 3:16)

Thus saith the LORD; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts the holy mountain. (Zechariah 8:3)

And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut to pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it. (Zechariah 12:3)

In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem. (Zechariah 12:6)

In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them. (Zechariah 12:8)

And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. (Zechariah 12:9)

In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the morning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon. (Zechariah 12:11)

In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness. And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land. (Zechariah 13:1-2)

And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. (Zechariah 14:8)

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee. (Psalms 122:6)

And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. (Isaiah 2:3)

Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously. (Isaiah 24:23)

And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem. (Isaiah 27:13)
As birds flying, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it. (Isaiah 31:5)

And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth. (Isaiah 62:7)

At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart. (Jeremiah 3:17)

And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. (Micah 4:2)

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. (Revelation 21:1-3)

WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED?
We have learned that Jerusalem is a city that is at the center of God’s plan and will be the location where Jesus will rule from in the future.

Our Father appreciates the fact that you are trying. May God’s blessing be upon this
study of His word, Amen.

EASTER VS. PASSOVER

Easter vs. Passover

The word Easter is used one time in the King James Bible. It is in Acts 12:4. It reads:
“And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.”

The word used here, in the original Hebrew text, was pavsca which is translated Pascha or Passover. The definition reads from the Strong’s Concordance:
1) the paschal sacrifice (which was accustomed to be offered for the people's deliverance of old from Egypt) (2) the paschal lamb, i.e. the lamb the Israelites were accustomed to slay and eat on the fourteenth day of the month of Nisan (the first month of their year) in memory of the day on which their fathers, preparing to depart from Egypt, were bidden by God to slay and eat a lamb, and to sprinkle their door posts with its blood, that the destroying angel, seeing the blood, might pass over their dwellings; Christ crucified is likened to the slain paschal lamb(3) the paschal supper (4) the paschal feast, the feast of the Passover, extending from the 14th to the 20th day of the month Nisan.

This exact same word is used 28 other times in the New Testament and is translated Passover.

The Bible does not mention Easter at all except in that one verse. If we think about it neither Jesus nor the apostles ever indicated or directed that it should be observed. The word has been corrected in some modern translations of the New Testament.

I believe that we Christians are not celebrating Easter but, that we are celebrating Passover. How that one scripture was used to change our celebration to Easter, who knows, but this is an insult to Christ. He died for us and became our Passover lamb and somehow throughout history that has been disregarded. It is obvious that it was Our Fathers intent that the lamb’s blood on the doorpost so the death angel would pass over was to be used as an example of Jesus’ blood causing us to be passed over by the death angel. Besides being an insult to Jesus, it has also stolen a blessing from us who are Christian.

If this is new to you and you are in doubt, read over these scriptures concerning Jesus and the Passover and perhaps see them with new eyes. It was clear that Jesus was killed on Passover. How could that possibly be a coincidence?

“And he (Jesus) said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples.” (Matthew 26:18)

“Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.” (John 13:1)

“Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover.” (John 18:28)

“But ye have a custom, that I should release unto you one at the passover: will ye therefore that I release unto you the King of the Jews?” (John 18:39)

“And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King!” (John 19:14)

Note also these words of John the Baptist: “The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” (John 1:29) It is clear that Jesus was and is our Passover lamb.

Or, read this story of Phillip and the eunuch in Acts chapter eight: “Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot. And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?
And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him. The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth: In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth. And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man? Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.”

Listen carefully to what Paul says. He makes it clear. “Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:” (1st Corinthians 5:7) Again, Jesus became our Passover.

We also have these precious words of Peter. “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: (1st Peter 1:18-19) Why would Jesus be called the lamb in the previous verses as well as in these verses in the book of Revelation? (There are several. I only listed three.)
“Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.” (Revelation 5:12)
“After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;” (Revelation 7:9)
“For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.” (Revelation 7:17)

We are stuck in this tradition that will probably not in this life be changed, but at least in our hearts when we attend the Easter services we can now know the truth. I have to think about what Paul writes: “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.” (Colossians 2:8) Or what Jesus said in Mark 7:13 concerning tradition: “Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.”

Adding to the insult, the word Easter did not originate with the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Encyclopedias and dictionaries trace the term Easter to Ishtar, the ancient spring goddess of Near Eastern countries, also known as Astarte or, in the Bible, the worship of Ashtoreth, which is a pagan holiday to worship spring, new beginnings, rejuvenation, reproduction and fertility; the life-enriching qualities of the sun. We can read in the Bible of idolatry and sun worship connected with Ishtar and Tammuz which became so widespread and influential that they were practiced even by people who had once known the true God. See: (Ezekiel 8:12-18; Jeremiah 7:18; 44:17-23). Consider the egg and the bunny. Most have heard of the swift reproduction expression, “fast like a bunny.” The egg and bunny have to do with fertility, and the goddess of fertility, not Christ’s resurrection. These practices have all been intertwined with Passover and here we are.

We could also go into a discussion here concerning the three days, but at this time we will just discuss Passover. We could also go into another discussion as to why the dates for Easter and Passover differ in the religions of the world, but the only fact we will concentrate on at this time is that we who believe Jesus Christ was and is our Passover can know the exact day to thank him and remember the Passover. It is given to us form the word of God. We are told in the book of Leviticus: “In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD's passover.” (Leviticus 23:5) And also in the book of Numbers: “And they kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the first month at even in the wilderness of Sinai: according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel.” (Numbers 9:5) Each year this would be 14 days after the spring equinox at sundown. I mention the spring equinox because that was when the Hebrew year began and at sundown because that is when they began the next day.

We should not use this information to insult those who do not know, by going to a family or even a church function where they are gathering Easter eggs and make a big spectacle. It is not going to change the tradition. It will only hurt others. What we can gently do is teach our children and grandchildren the truth. It is also my opinion that most Christians attending Easter services are celebrating Christ’s death and resurrection, but to know the truth concerning the Passover is an additional blessing.

To all those who wish to celebrate Passover in their hearts and minds, have a blessed Passover.

EARTHQUAKES AND THE END TIMES

The following words of Jesus found in the gospels were in response to his disciples questioning him concerning the end times. Earthquakes are just one of the signs that Jesus describes in these scriptures.

In the book of Revelation it is also revealed that when the 6th seal is opened there will be a great earthquake.

Scripture:
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. (Matthew 24:7)

For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows. (Mark 13:8)

And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven. (Luke 21:11)

And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; (Revelation 6:12)

WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED?
Earthquakes in several places will be one of the signs to watch for in the end times.

PERILOUS TIMES IN THE LATTER DAYS

PERILOUS TIMES IN THE LATTER DAYS

In the New Testament Timothy, Peter and James describe what the world would be like in the latter days. Timothy speaks of perilous times consisting of self centered people who have a form of godliness, but deny the power of God. Peter describes scoffers who would be making fun of Christians and James speaks of irrelevant riches being gathered.
Concerning the last days keep in your mind these scriptures. “The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust him.” Nahum 1:7 “Call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.” Psalms 50:15 Our Father knows those who trust in him.

Scripture:
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good. Traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. (2nd Timothy 3:1-5)

Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. (2nd Peter 3:3-4)

Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days. (James 5:3)

WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED?
Timothy, Peter and James warn us that self-centered, scoffers who store up riches that have no eternal value will be prevalent in the latter days.

Our Father appreciates the fact that you are trying. May God’s blessing be upon this
study of His word, Amen.

GOD WILL POUR OUT HIS SPIRIT IN THE LATTER DAYS

GOD WILL POUR OUT HIS SPIRIT IN THE LATTER DAYS

Pentecost according to the Strong’s Concordance means "the fiftieth day" the second of the three great Jewish feasts, celebrated at Jerusalem yearly, the seventh week after the Passover, in grateful recognition of the completed harvest.

In the book of Acts, on Pentecost day in Jerusalem, Peter repeats the words from the Old Testament book of Joel concerning the last days when God says he is going to pour out his spirit on men and women, young and old. People will, prophesy, see visions and dream dreams. On Pentecost day those present heard a rushing wind and saw tongues of fire ascended on the believers. Everyone present, who was from all nations of the world, understood clearly what was being said in their own language.
It is indicated by Jesus that there will be those in the last days who will speak out for God in the same manner allowing the Holy Spirit to speak through them and that even the gainsayers will not be able to resist what they say. Those who are delivered up to speak are warned not to premeditate what they will say, but to allow the Holy Spirit to speak through them.

Scripture:
And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: (Acts 2:17-18)

And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. And they were all amazed and marveled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galileans? And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born? (Acts 2:3-8)

But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost. (Mark 13:11)

But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake. And it shall turn to you for a testimony. Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. (Luke 21:12-15)

And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say: For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say. (Luke 12:11-12)

WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED?
In the latter days God is going to pour out his Spirit and some, who allow the Holy Spirit to speak through them, will be delivered up. As at Pentecost, all nations will understand what is being said in their own language and even doubters will believe what they say.

Our Father appreciates the fact that you are trying. May God’s blessing be upon this
study of His word, Amen.

WE WILL UNDERSTAND IN THE LATTER DAYS

Two Old Testement Prophets, Isaiah and Micah, describe the latter days as a time when all nations shall turn to the LORD’s house.
The Prophet, Jeremiah, informs us that these times will be a result of God’s plan as well as his anger. He also informs us that in the latter days we shall believe and understand everything clearly.

Scripture:
And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills, and all nations shall flow unto it. (Isaiah 2:2)

But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it. (Micah 4:1)

The anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart; in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly. (Jeremiah 23:20)

The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return, until he hath done it, and until he has performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it. (Jeremiah 30:24)

WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED?
Isaiah, Micah and Jeremiah speak of the latter days when all nations will turn to the Lord and that when it happens we will understand it perfectly.

HAILSTONES

Watering the Garden
HAILSTONES

We discover from the scriptures that hailstones were utilized by the LORD during the time of Moses against the enemies of Israel and they were also used during Joshua’s time where it is reported that more of the enemy was destroyed by the hailstones than in the battle.

And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt. (Exodus 9:23)

And it came to pass, as they fled from before Israel, and were in the going down to Bethhoron, that the LORD cast down great stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died: they were more which died with hailstones than they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword. (Joshua 10:11)

The book of Job reveals that hail is reserved for the time of trouble to come.

(God speaking to Job) Hast thou entered into the treasures of snow? Or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail, which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war? (Job 38:22-23)

As the following scriptures disclose, in the book of Isaiah, Ezekiel and Revelation, hailstones are to be used in the future. The book of Revelation revels that during the battle of Armageddon when the seventh angel’s vial is poured out hailstones will be used against God's enemies.
The weight of a talent could be 120, or as much as 180 pounds.

And the LORD shall cause his glorious voice to be heard, and shall shew the lighting down of his arm, with the indignation of his anger, and with the flame of a devouring fire, with scattering, and tempest, and hailstones. (Isaiah 30:30)

Say unto them, which daub it with untempered morter that it shall fall; there shall be an overflowing shower: and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall: and a stormy wind shall rend it. (Ezekiel 13:11)

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD: I will even rend it with a stormy wind in my fury: and there shall be an overflowing shower in mine anger, and great hailstones in my fury to consume it. (Ezekiel 13:13)

And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood: and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, and overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. (Ezekiel 38:22)

Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. The seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great. (Revelation 16:15-21)

WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED?
We have learned that hail was used by God in the Old Testament against the enemies of God and will be used in the future at the battle of Armageddon.

Our Father appreciates the fact that you are trying. May God’s blessing be upon this
study of His word, Amen.

DANIEL INTERPRETS KING NEBUCHADNEZZAR'S DREAM

DANIEL INTERPRETS KING NEBUCHADNEZZAR’S DREAM

King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon was given a dream from God which included information concerning the end times. He was troubled and did not understand what this dream meant. Daniel was given the ability by God to interpret the king’s dream.

In the dream it is indicated that in the end times the world kingdoms would be part iron and part clay, or possibly part weak, part strong and that, “They” shall mingle themselves with the seed of men. “They” may be those angels that are to be kicked out of heaven, along with Satan. Iron and clay do not mix. Consider Revelation 12:9 which states, "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him." This brings to mind the words spoken by Jesus himself,"And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven." Luke 10:18 We can't stop there, but need to add the words that Jesus continued on to say in verse 19. "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you."

We are also reminded by Jesus in Matthew 24 and Luke 21 that during the end times things would be just as they were in the times of Noah before the flood. In Genesis 6 before the flood we find that these fallen angels were mingling with the daughters of Adam. Genesis 6:2 "That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose."

In the end God will topple all kingdoms and will sit up his non-ending kingdom with the stone cut out of the mountain without hands. We find in Psalms 118:22-23 that stone is Jesus Christ, “The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner. This is the LORD'S doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.”

(The kingdoms described in the following scriptures are believed to be, Babylon, Persia, Greece, Rome, and in 636 AD until today, the Mohammed Kingdom.)

Scripture:
But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days, Thy dream, and the visions of the head upon thy bed, are these; As for thee, O king, thy thoughts came into thy mind upon they bed, what should come to pass hereafter; and he that revealeth secrets maketh known to thee what shall come to pass. But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for any wisdom that I have more than any living, but for their sakes that shall make known the interpretation to the king, and that thou mightest know the thoughts of thy heart. Thou, O king, sawest, and behold a great image. This great image, whose brightness was excellent, stood before thee; and the form thereof was terrible. This image’s head was of fine gold, his breast and arms of silver, his belly and his thighs of brass, His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay. Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and break them to pieces. Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth. This is the dream; and we will tell the interpretation thereof before the king.
Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory. And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold. And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth. And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and burse. And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters’ clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay. And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay. And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure. (Daniel 2:28-45)

WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED?
In the end times, the “powers that be” will not mix very well, but God is going to topple all kingdoms by his son Jesus Christ and set up an eternal kingdom.

Our Father appreciates the fact that you are trying. May God’s blessing be upon this

DANIEL PARTICIPATES IN THE END TIMES

Daniel was told that it would be many days from the time of his visions until the time of the end and that the words he was given were to be sealed until then. He also was told that travel and knowledge would increase at that time and was given the promise that he would be a part of that end time.

Scripture:
Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days; for yet the vision is for many days. (Daniel 10:14)

But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. (Daniel 12:4)

And he said, Go thy way, Daniel; for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. (Daniel 12:9)

But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days. (Daniel 12:13)

WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED?
Daniel was informed that the visions which he saw were to be sealed until the end times and that he would participate in that period.

MOSES WARNS OF THE LATTER DAYS

Moses gave a warning to the children of Israel concerning what would happen to their offspring in the latter days. He warns that there would be tribulation and that evil would befall them because of their actions. Our Father promises if his children will turn back to God, he will not forsake them and will remember His covenant with their ancestors.

Scripture:
When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice, (For the LORD thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them. (Deuteronomy 4:30-31)

For I know that after my death (Moses speaking) ye will utterly corrupt yourselves, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall you in the latter days; because ye will do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands. (Deuteronomy 31:29)

WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED?
Due to the wicked actions of the offspring of the tribes of Israel, there will be evil times and tribulation for them in the last days, but if they will turn back to God, he will not forsake them.

SATAN AS THE ANTI-CHRIST

SATAN AS THE ANTI-CHRIST

Although his spirit is already at work in the earth, there is a point in the future when Satan, along with his angels, is going to literally be kicked out of heaven and cast to the earth. That is when the last big deception will take place. Are you prepared?

Perhaps Our Father has a purpose for you when the spoiler arrives. "O daughter of my people, gird thee with sackcloth, and wallow thyself in ashes: make thee mourning, as for an only son, most bitter lamentation: for the spoiler shall suddenly come upon us. I have set thee for a tower and a fortress among my people, that thou mayest know and try their way." Jeremiah 6:26-27

Daniel says he will come in peacefully and cause to prosper and generously spread around wealth. Most are expecting a cruel, dictator type being, but what the actual deception will be is a great revival. He will claim to be Jesus. (The root word or etymology for Anti can mean instead of Christ. Here are the explanations in the Strong’s Greek Concordance: over against, opposite to, before, for, instead of, in place of something)

Revelation 13 says that he will deceive the world by performing miracles such as snapping his fingers and cause lightening to come down from heaven. This is why Jesus said in the gospel of Matthew, “Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.” (Matthew 24:23-26)

Jesus spoke of that day when Satan would be booted from heaven. Remember, another of Satan’s names is the serpent. Jesus said he gives his followers power to tread on serpents. “And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Luke 10:18-19

Scripture:
How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. (Isaiah 14)

And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up. And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people. And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand. (Daniel 8:23-25)

He shall enter peaceably even upon the fattest places of the province; and he shall do that which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers' fathers; he shall scatter among them the prey, and spoil, and riches: yea, and he shall forecast his devices against the strong holds, even for a time. (Daniel 11:24)

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. (2nd Thessalonians 2:3-4)

And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon. (Revelation 9:11)

And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. (Revelation 12:9)

Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them, Woe to the inhibiters of the earth and of the sea! For the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. (Revelation 12:12)

And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. (Revelation 13:13-14)

WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED?
The anti-Christ will be Satan come to earth pretending to be God or Jesus performing miracles, spreading riches and deceiving the people of the world.

Our Father appreciates the fact that you are trying. May God’s blessing be upon this
study of His word, Amen.

GOD'S PROMISE TO DAVID

GOD’S PROMISE TO DAVID

God made the promise to King David and his descendants that David’s throne would be established forever.
Shortly before his death we read that David warned his son, Solomon, to keep the Lord’s commandments, but at the end of his life Solomon forsook his fathers warning. We know from the following scriptures that God’s promise to David would still hold firm and that God would not forsake his promise to David concerning the fact that his throne would be established forever.
Two facts we as Christians should think about and ask ourselves, why? Why is it a fact that the main purpose or responsibility of the Queen and/or King in the monarchy is to be the “defender of the faith” to this day. Also, why is it that from a well known king, King James, we have our KING JAMES BIBLE?

Scripture:
Great deliverance giveth he to his king; and sheweth mercy to his anointed, to David, and to his seed for evermore. (Psalms 18:50)

I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant, Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah (Psalms 89:3)

I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him: With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him. The enemy shall not exact upon him: nor the son of wickedness afflict him. And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him. But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted. (Psalms 89:20-24)

If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments; If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments; Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes. Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail. My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David. His seed shall endure forever, and his throne as the sun before me. It shall be established forever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah. (Psalms 89:30-37)

The LORD hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne. (Psalms 132:11)

(DAVID’S ADVISE TO HIS SON SOLOMON) And keep the charge of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest, and whithersoever thou turnest thyself: That the LORD may continue his word which he spake concerning me, saying, If thy children take heed to their way, to walk before me in truth, with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail thee (said he) a man on the throne of Israel. (1st Kings 2:3-4)

WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED?
God promised King David that there would always be a descendant of his on the throne.

MYSTERY BABYLON

MYSTERY BABYLON

Our Father speaks of the fall of a great harlot-city called Babylon in the end times. The Bible teaches that the nations will be intoxicated with mystery Babylon. The word Babel or Babylon according to the Strong’s Concordance means “Babel” or “Confusion” (by mixing). Babylon the actual city, as most of us are familiar with in recent years, is located in Iraq, on the Euphrates River, where the tower of Babel in the book of Genesis was built.

We are warned over and over again to come out of Babylon, or to come out of confusion. How does a person come out of confusion? By knowing the truth.

The Bible compares the act of followers turning away from Our Father to a spouse that is cheating on their mate. Ponder the statements in these scriptures which speak of no more musicians, no more music, no more candles and no more bride and groom.

Let’s take a look at what the Bible says about Babylon. A portion of the following scriptures speak of the actual city of Babylon, Iraq while others speak of the Babylon of confusion.

And, behold, here cometh a chariot of men, with a couple of horsemen. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground. (Isaiah 21:9)

And will send unto Babylon fanners that shall fan her, and shall empty her land: for in the day of trouble they shall be against her round about. (Jeremiah 51:2) (Keep in mind where the actual city of Babylon is located.)

Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the LORD’s vengeance; he will render unto her recompense. (Jeremiah 51:6)

Babylon hath been a golden cup in the LORD’s hand that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad. (Jeremiah 51:7)

So Jeremiah wrote in a book all the evil that should come upon Babylon, even all these words that are written against Babylon. (Jeremiah 51:60)

This is the rejoicing city that dwelt carelessly, that said in her heart, I am, and there is none beside me: how is she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down in! Everyone that passeth by her shall hiss, and wag his hand. (Zephaniah 2:15)
And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. (Revelation 14:8)

And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. (Revelation 16:19)

Babylon is described as a mystery sitting on waters which are composed of people and nations and languages.

And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither, I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. So he carried me away in the sprit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet colored beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. And the women was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration. And the angel said unto me, wherefore didst thou marvel? (Revelation 17:1-7)

The angel goes on to describe the mystery Babylon. The beast that holds her up has 7 heads and 10 horns representing 7 nations and 10 horns representing 10 kings or rulers and the beast controlling it all is Satan who was, who will appear again and be sent into perdition.

I will tell the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns. The beast that thou sawest was, and is not, and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. And here is the mind, which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. And the ten horns, which thou sawest, are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. these have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. (Revelation 17:8-14)

These all will make war against Jesus, who is the Lamb, and He along with the called, chosen and faithful will overcome these evil ones.

These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful. (Revelation 17:15)

Note that the waters which mystery Babylon sits on are all the people of all nations.

And he saith unto me, The waters, which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. For God hath put in their hearts to fulfill his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled. And the woman, which thou sawest, is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth. (Revelation 17:15-18)

God says in His Word that we are to come out of confusion.

And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double. How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her; for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and morning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her. And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning. Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour is thy judgment come. And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more: The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble. And cinnamon, and odors, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men. And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee, and all things, which were dainty and goodly, are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all. The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing, And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls! For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off, And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city! And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! For in one hour is she made desolate. Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her. And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all. And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee; And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all the nations deceived. And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth. (Revelation 18:2-24)

How are we to come out of confusion? We come out by knowing the truth. Read these scriptures over and over again. Everything may not make sense right at the moment, but as, or if, these things start to come to pass, we will understand more clearly as we see the pieces fall into place.

WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED?
We have learned that Mystery Babylon may not just be a city, but a form of confusion in the end times and that we should come out of confusion.

study of His word, Amen.

THE THOUSAND YEAR REIGN

RAINING TRUTH WATERING THE GARDEN

Watering the Garden
THE THOUSAND YEAR REIGN

In the following scriptures we discover that a day with our Lord is as a thousand years, thus we might conclude that the Day of the Lord, after the return of Jesus Christ will continue for one thousand years or a millennium and that Jesus will be ruling along with his followers or the “over comers” who are participants’ of what is called the 1st resurrection. It declares that he will rule with a strong hand. It also states that the rest of the dead (who were not part of the 1st resurrection) will not live again until the thousand years are completed. (Here we need to think spiritually.) The flesh body is dead, but the spirit body is still alive awaiting the 2nd resurrection and final judgment. Consider that at this point we have all been changed into spiritual bodies. “Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, (1st Corinthians 15:1)

The scriptures teach that during that one thousand years Satan, also called the serpent, the devil, and the dragon will be bound and unable to deceive people, but that at the end of that thousand years he will be released for just a short time.

Scripture:
Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him. (Isaiah 40:10)

But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. (2nd Peter 3:8)

And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, (Revelation 20:2)

And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. (Revelation 20:3)

And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. (Revelation 20:4)

But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. (Revelation 20:5)

But that which ye have already hold fast till I come. And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. (Revelation 2:25-27)

WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED?
Jesus Christ will return and rule with a strong arm for one thousand years along with those who have overcome. During this period Satan will be locked up.

Our Father appreciates the fact that you are trying. May God’s blessing be upon this
study of His word, Amen.

ISRAEL AND JUDAH REUNITED

ISRAEL AND JUDAH REUNITED

From the scriptures we see that the separated tribe of Judah will one day be reunited with the scattered tribes of Israel and they will again become one. They will at that time see the truth and will have one leader, Jesus Christ, called the Branch. They will describe him as THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. According to Hosea the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob will in the latter days turn to God.

Scripture:
At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart. In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers. (Jeremiah 3:17-18)

Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. (Jeremiah 23:5-6)

For, lo, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it. (Jeremiah 30:3)
And I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as at the first. (Jeremiah 33:7)

In those days, and in that time, saith the LORD, the children of Israel shall come, they and the children of Judah together, going and weeping: they shall go, and seek the LORD their God. (Jeremiah 50:4)

Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim and for all the house of Israel his companions: (Ezekiel 37:16)

Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand. (Ezekiel 37:19)

Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered together, and appoint themselves one head, and they shall come up out of the land: for great shall be the day of Jezreel. (Hosea 1:11)

Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king: and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days. (Hosea 3:5)

WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED?
In the latter days Judah and Israel will reunite again and Jesus Christ will be their King. They will call him THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Our Father appreciates the fact that you are trying. May God’s blessing be upon this
study of His word, Amen.

ENEMIES WAR AGAINST ISRAEL IN THE LATTER DAYS

Ezekiel speaks in depth about a group of nations, in the latter days that will come against the nation called Israel. He describes it as a nation which is brought back from war and is gathered out of many people; a land with no walls, which is dwelling safely.
God states at that time He is going to intervene in such a spectacular way with overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone, as to cause those who don’t believe in him to know him. He will intervene so dramatically that bugs, birds, animals and man will be shaken and the nations will know that he is the LORD.

Scripture: WORDS FROM EZEKIEL 38
After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.

Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee. Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought: And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates. To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land,
Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? Hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? To carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?

Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it? And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army: And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land: it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them?

And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face. For in my Jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground. And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man’s sword shall be against his brother.

And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.

Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD. (Ezekiel 38:1-23)

WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED?
Ezekiel describes a group of nations that will come against the tribes of Israel in the latter days and that God is going to intervene in such a spectacular way as to cause nations and nature to see and know that he is God.

ABRAHAM'S SEED SCATTERED

ABRAHAM’S SEED SCATTERED

In The Song of Moses we are given the reason why the children of Israel were scattered. It is because, in spite of all that God had done for them, they forgot God and had no faith. It also informs us that the remembrance of them would be forgotten. Several other scriptures verify that they were scattered among the nations. It is a mystery who or where 10 of the tribes are. They are forgotten. Even they don’t know who they are.
God also said he would hide his face from them and see what their end would be. We find in Revelation 15:3 this Song of Moses is being sung. “And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God. And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.”

Scripture:
(From the Song of Moses in Deuteronomy 32)
Verse 18 Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee.
Verse 20 And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith.
Verse 26 I said, I would scatter them into corners, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men:
Verse 28 For they are a nation void of counsel, neither is there any understanding in them.
Verse 29 O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!

Thou hast given us like sheep appointed for meat; and hast scattered us among the heathen. (Psalms 44:11)

Hear the word of the LORD, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd doth his flock. (Jeremiah 31:10)

Israel is a scattered sheep; the lions have driven him away: first the king of Assyria hath devoured him; and last this Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon hath broken his bones. (Jeremiah 50:17)

Yet will I leave a remnant, that ye may have some that shall escape the sword among the nations, when ye shall be scattered through the countries. (Ezekiel 6:8)

Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Although I have cast them far off among the heathen, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where they shall come. (Ezekiel 11:16)

My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and upon every high hill: yea, my flock was scattered upon all the face of the earth, and none did search or seek after them. (Ezekiel 34:6)

And I scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings I judged them. (Ezekiel 36:19)

I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land. (Joel 3:2)

But I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations whom they knew not. Thus the land was desolate after them, that no man passed through nor returned: for they laid the pleasant land desolate. (Zechariah 7:14)

WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED?
Because the children of Israel forgot God and had no faith they were scattered among the nations and it has been forgotten who most of them are.

ISRAEL DIVIDED

ISRAEL DIVIDED

King Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived, after building the temple of God, took foreign wives and participated in the worship of their strange Gods. This removed God’s blessing from Solomon and God declared that he would separate Judah from the other tribes of Israel which he did. Later because of the sins of the people of Israel we find that these tribes were also scattered throughout the world.

Scripture:
And the LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the LORD God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice, And had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods: but he kept not that which the LORD commanded. Wherefore the LORD said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant. Notwithstanding in thy days I will not do it for David thy father's sake: but I will rend it out of the hand of thy son. Howbeit I will not rend away all the kingdom; but will give one tribe to thy son for David my servant's sake, and for Jerusalem's sake which I have chosen. (1st Kings 9:9-13)

So Israel rebelled against the house of David unto this day. (1st Kings 12:19)
And when all Israel saw that the king would not hearken unto them, the people answered the king, saying, What portion have we in David? and we have none inheritance in the son of Jesse: every man to your tents, O Israel: and now, David, see to thine own house. So all Israel went to their tents. (2nd Chronicles 10:16)

And Israel rebelled against the house of David unto this day. (2nd Chronicles 10:19)

WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED?
We have learned that as a result of King Solomon’s sins the tribe of Judah was separated from the rest of Israel.

ISRAEL COMES INTO BEING

ISRAEL COMES INTO BEING

The promises given to Abraham were continued to Abraham’s son, Isaac. He was told that his children would be as numerous as the stars of heaven and that the world would be blessed because of them. And, then to Isaac’s son, Jacob, the promise continues that all the families of the earth would be blessed because of his seed. That seed is Jesus Christ.
God then changed Jacob’s name to Israel and the nation of Israel came into being. The word Israel according to the Strong’s Concordance means “God prevails”.

Scripture:

(TO ISAAC) And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of: Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham they father; And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed: Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statues, and my laws. (Genesis 26:2-5)
And the LORD appeared unto him the same night, and said, I am the God of Abraham thy father: fear not, for I am with thee, and will bless thee, and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham’s sake. (Genesis 26:24)

(TO JACOB) And, behold the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed; And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed. And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of. (Genesis 28:13-15)

(TO ISRAEL) And God appeared unto Jacob again, when he came out of Padanaram, and blessed him. And God said unto him, Thy name is Jacob: thy name shall not be called any more Jacob, but Israel shall be thy name: and he called his name Israel. And God said unto him, I Am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins; And the land which I gave Abraham and Isaac, to thee I will give it, and to thy seed after thee will I give the land. And God went up from him in the place where he talked with him. (Genesis 35:9-13)

WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED?
God spoke the same promises to Abraham’s son, Isaac, and grandson, Jacob, concerning the fact that their children would be as numerous as the stars of heaven and that the world would be blessed because of them. God then changed Jacob’s name to Israel and the nation Israel came into being.

GODS PROMISE TO ABRAHAM AND HIS SEED

GODS PROMISE TO ABRAHAM AND HIS SEED

God was pleased because Abraham believed and obeyed him and God made several promises directly to Abraham. God promised he would multiply Abraham’s seed and that his descendants would be a blessing to the entire earth.
Where are all these children of promise which God said would be numerous as the dust of the earth or the stars of the heavens? There are those who believe these are the ten lost tribes which are called Anglo-Saxon (Isaac’s sons) or the Caucasians which crossed over the Caucus Mountains and later settled in Europe? God also says he will bless those that bless Abraham’s descendants and curse them that curse his descendants.

Scripture:
Now the Lord had said unto Abram. Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. (Genesis 12:1-3)

And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward and eastward, and westward For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it and to thy seed forever. And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered. (Genesis 13:14-16)

And he brought him forth abroad, and said, look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be. And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness. (Genesis 15:5-6)

And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. And I will make my covenant between thee, and me and will multiply thee exceedingly. And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made of thee. And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God. (Genesis 17:1-8)

And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time, And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou has done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son; That in blessing I will bless then, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou has obeyed my voice. (Genesis 22:15-18)

Inspired by God Balaam spoke these words concerning Israel.

"How goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, and thy tabernacles, O Israel! As the valleys are they spread forth, as gardens by the river's side, as the trees of lign aloes which the LORD hath planted, and as cedar trees beside the waters. He shall pour the water out of his buckets, and his seed shall be in many waters, and his king shall be higher than Agag, and his kingdom shall be exalted. God brought him forth out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows. He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall stir him up? Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee. (Numbers 24:5-9)

And there is this promise in the Book of Isaiah.

But Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end. Isaiah 45:17

GOD’S PROMISE TO HIS SERVANTS

God’s promise in the following scripture is the inheritance given to those who are his servants.

Scripture:
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD. (Isaiah 54:17)

WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED?
No attack waged against the servants of Our Father will succeed and every word that is spoken against them will be condemned.

THE RAINBOW PROMISE

Watering the Garden
THE RAINBOW PROMISE

God made a promise to Noah, his sons and all living creatures after the flood. Each time a rainbow appears in the sky he will remember His promise never to destroy man and animal with a flood and that as long as the earth remained the four seasons would also remain.

Scripture:
And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done. While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. (Genesis 8:21-22)

And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you; And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth. And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth. And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth. And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth. (Genesis 9:8-17)

WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED?
When we see a rainbow in the sky we can remember God promised that our seasons would remain and that he would never again destroy man and animals with a flood.

TRUST IN GOD

TRUST IN GOD

Our Father urges us to trust in him in every aspect of our lives and not to trust in our own comprehension of a situation. He also does not want us to put our trust in any person other than Our Father.

He has given us the promise that if we trust him, he will guide us in the correct path.

Scripture:
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. (Proverbs 3:5)

Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. (Jeremiah 17:5)

As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him. (2nd Samuel 22:31)

He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD. (Psalms 112:7)

The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. Nahum (1:7)

Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Psalms (37:3)

It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. (Psalms 118:8)

WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED?
We are not to depend on our own understanding of a situation or in other people, but are to trust Our Father and he will lead us in the correct direction.

Our Father appreciates the fact that you are trying. May God’s blessing be upon this
