TRUST IN GOD

Our Father urges us to trust in him in every aspect of our lives and not to trust in our own comprehension of a situation. He also does not want us to put our trust in any person other than Our Father.

He has given us the promise that if we trust him, he will guide us in the correct path.

Scripture:
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. (Proverbs 3:5)

Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. (Jeremiah 17:5)

As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him. (2nd Samuel 22:31)

He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD. (Psalms 112:7)

The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. Nahum (1:7)

Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Psalms (37:3)

It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. (Psalms 118:8)

WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED?
We are not to depend on our own understanding of a situation or in other people, but are to trust Our Father and he will lead us in the correct direction.

Our Father appreciates the fact that you are trying. May God’s blessing be upon this
study of His word, Amen.

WHAT DOES GOD DESIRE OF MAN

WHAT DOES GOD DESIRE OF MAN

Our Father informs us that he has shown through his word what he desires from us and also that He will teach us. He requests, through his prophet Moses, for us to hear, keep and do his statues. He assures us that He will be with us if we pursue what is good. Our Father desires most of all for us to believe in His son, Jesus Christ.

Speaking as a nation in the end times God says in Deuteronomy 32:28-29 “For they are a nation void of counsel, neither is there any understanding in them. O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!”

Scripture:
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God. (Micah 6:8)

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. (Psalms 32:8)

Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. (Psalms 34:14)

Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the LORD, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken. (Amos 5:14)

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (John 3:18)

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. (Hebrews 11:6)

WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED?
God has revealed to us in his word what he requires of us and that is to hear and do what is in that word and to believe on His son, Jesus Christ.

Our Father appreciates the fact that you are trying. May God’s blessing be upon this
study of His word, Amen.

WORD OF TRUTH

WORD OF TRUTH

Jesus, James and Paul used the terminology “word and truth” in the same sentence. Jesus said we are sanctified through truth. Sanctified in the Greek can mean dedicate-consecrate-cleanse-purify-hallow-be holy-free from sin or it could be described as a renewing of the soul.

In the book of Timothy we are told to study so we won’t be ashamed, as we will be able to correctly decipher the truth.

James informs us that we are begotten through the word of truth.

Paul tells us that when we trust, by hearing the word of truth, and believe, we are sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.

Scripture:

They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth; Thy word is truth. (John 17:16-17)

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, A workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (2nd Timothy 2:15)

Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures. (James 1:18)

In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. (Ephesians 1:13)

WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED?

Truth is found in the Word of God, the Bible. The truth from His word renews our soul.

Our Father appreciates the fact that you are trying. May God’s blessing be upon this

study of His word, Amen.

ANSWERS:

1. Now there was a certain man of Ramathaimzophim, of mount Ephraim, and his name was Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Elihu, the son of Tohu, the son of Zuph, an Ephrathite: And he had two wives; the name of the one was Hannah, and the name of the other Peninnah: and Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children. (1st Samuel 1:1-2)

2. But unto Hannah he gave a worthy portion; for he loved Hannah: but the LORD had shut up her womb. (1st Samuel 1:5)

3. And it came to pass, as she continued praying before the LORD, that Eli marked her mouth. Now Hannah, she spake in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard: therefore Eli thought she had been drunken. And Eli said unto her, How long wilt thou be drunken? put away thy wine from thee. (1st Samuel 12-14)

4. And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow. And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested. (1st Chronicles 4:9-10)

5. So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations. (Matthew 1:17)

6. And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts. (Mark 4:15)

7. (Jesus speaking) He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. (Luke 16:10)

8. (See above scripture)

9. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1)

10. For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. (John 6:33-35)

Don’t get discouraged. Go back and keep doing the questions until you know all the answers. Our Father appreciates the fact that you are trying. May God’s blessing be upon this study of His word, Amen.
