Our Father promises in his word that, if we remember and keep his word, our days will be lengthened and we will have peace.

We also discover in the Ten Commandments it is promised long days upon the land to those who honor their parents.

Scripture:
Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he hath known my name, he shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. (Psalms 91:14-15)

My son forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. (Proverbs 3:1)

Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth. (Exodus 20:12)

WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED?
The scriptures teach that it is possible to achieve long life and peace if we remember and keep God’s word and honor our parents.
