WAIT ON THE LORD

Scripture:

Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. (Psalms 27:14)

Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth. (Psalms 37:7-9)

Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it. (Psalms 37:34)

He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. (Isaiah 40:29-31)

To those who wait upon the Lord we find these beautiful promises; The LORD will renew their strength to soar like an eagle and they shall inherit the earth. The word, wait, means to wait, look for, hope or expect. Or, it can also mean to collect, bind together such as being entwined together with Our Father.

(#6960 in the Hebrew Concordance)

WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED?

If we entwine ourselves with the Lord and wait, He will renew our strength and cause us to soar like an eagle.

Our Father appreciates the fact that you are trying. May God’s blessing be upon this

study of His word, Amen.

Susan
