FATHER AND SON ARE ONE

Sometimes the concept that the Father and the Son are one is difficult for us to understand. Jesus expressed clearly to Philip that they who have seen the son have seen the Father.

John said that Jesus was the Word and that the Word was God. Paul says in Colossians and 2nd Corinthians that Jesus Christ is the image of God.

Scripture:

If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? He that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? (John 14:7-9)

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. (2nd Corinthians 4:4)

Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: (Colossians 1:12-15)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1)

WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED?
We have learned that Our Father and His Son, Jesus, are one.

Our Father appreciates the fact that you are trying. May God’s blessing be upon this
study of His word, Amen.
Susan
