THE LIGHT

Watering the Garden
THE LIGHT

In the beginning, before the sun and the moon were created, the light was brought forth by God. Jesus says he came as a light and whoever believes on him will not abide in darkness. In the final chapter of the Bible the light is again mentioned describing a time when mankind shall see his face and understand truth.

Scripture:
God said, Let there be light; and there was light. And God saw the light that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. (Genesis 1:3-4)

He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him. (Daniel 2:22)

The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined. (Isaiah 9:2)

Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. (Isaiah 60:1)

For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness. (Psalms 18:28)

For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light. (Psalms 36:9)

Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous. (Psalms 112:4)

The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple. (Psalms 119:130)

In him was life; and the life was the light of men. (John 1:4)

And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. (John 1:5)

I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. (John 12:46)

This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. (1ST John 1:5)

And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light; and they shall reign forever and ever. (Revelation 22:5)

WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED?
We have learned that in the beginning the light came into being before the sun and moon. In order to be removed from darkness and come into that light we must believe on Jesus Christ.

Our Father appreciates the fact that you are trying. May God’s blessing be upon this
study of His word, Amen.
Susan
